Selected for the LIFT UTOPIA Digital R&D* Residency, this project used digital media to create a virtual bridge between Gaza and London. Simultaneous workshops and performances connected artists and audiences across the countries, forming a shared, third space. Exploring what “home” means for both sides, the work imagined a new, improvised world and opened possibilities beyond the current realities of conflict and restriction.

Artists-in-residence: Julian Maynard Smith (Station House Opera), Vivianna Chiotini, Taghrid Choucair-Vizoso

The residency was published in Reuters/ TNT world in 2016.

Produced by Victoria Lupton

Location: Watermans Arts Centre, London
& Al Meshal Theatre, Gaza City

Date: 2016
