Vivianna Chiotini is an artist-researcher, director and scenographer working in performance and theatre.
Born in Athens, she studied architecture in Paris and scenography in London, developing an interdisciplinary practice between Greece, France, and the United Kingdom. Her work has been presented at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT), Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), and Prague Quadrennial, among others.
Since 2020, she has been a member of SACRe–PSL doctoral programme in Paris and affiliated with the research group of the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique (CNSAD). Her research-creation project explores the triptych, a form widely used in the visual arts, as a performative structure through dynamic interplays of bodies, space, and time.
Within this research framework, she creates, designs, and directs performances that often stage philosophical questions. She has led workshops and collaborative projects involving performers, dancers, theatre students, and scholars from a range of disciplines.

She has also developed a long-term collaboration with Rémi Sagot-Duvauroux (EnsadLab). Their common project Rythme(s) d’espaces engages with the rhythms and poetics that emerge from hybrid scenographies and their influence on bodily movement. The resulting performance responded to the theme Symbiosis and was presented at ISEA 2023, a leading international symposium on innovation at the intersections of art, technology, and research.
