Un lieu pour la pensée d’un “je”, 2024
Vivianna Chiotini is an artist-researcher, director and scenographer working in performance and theatre.
This website presents a selection of works developed between 2014 and 2020 in Greece and the United Kingdom. These were presented at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival in Greece, the London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT), the LSE Festival and SPILL Festival, among others. Two of the works were featured in the Staging Places exhibition at the Prague Quadrennial (2019) and at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), London, in 2020.
Since 2020, she has been based in Paris, where she is pursuing a PhD at the doctoral programme SACRe-PSL and the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique. Her research-creation project explores the triptych as a performative structure for staging philosophical questions through the activation of relationships between bodies, spaces, and temporalities. She has presented a number of performances to public audiences and has led workshops involving drama students and dancers, as well as other artists and thinkers affiliated with the SACRe laboratory.

Within this interdisciplinary research framework, she has also developed a long-term collaboration with Rémi Sagot-Duvauroux (EnsadLab). Their common project Rythme(s) d’espaces explores rhythms and poetics emerging from hybrid scenographies and their impact on bodily movement. The resulting performance was presented at ISEA 2023, an international symposium dedicated to the intersections of art, technology, and research.
